Job Description

The Account / Strategy Associate focuses on the management of existing and new client relationships, encompassing research, analysis and strategy development, presentation of findings and recommendations, project management, client service and relationship management. As an ancillary duty, the position may also assist in new business development and marketing.

This position presents a unique opportunity for a mid to senior level candidate to work in a premium research, strategy, design and implementation firm, alongside world-leading experts in the field and for notable brands, from Fortune 50 to start-up.

Primary Roles and Duties

brandadvisors seeks a highly unique individual who possesses a breadth of experience and relevant skills as well as an interest to apply them.

The primary duties for this position focus on the management of existing and new client relationships, which may encompass research, analysis and strategy development, presentation of findings and recommendations, project management, client service and relationship management, and to a lesser degree, new business development. Details include:

Research: Gather information through a broad variety of sources—both primary and secondary—on client and prospective clients, their industry, competitors, customers, and macro socio-economic trends.

Analysis & Strategy: Synthesize research, analyze information, draw conclusions, and develop strategic recommendations for clients and for prospective clients, with guidance from the President.

Presentation Development: Develop presentations of findings, analysis, and recommendations for specific client projects as well as new business presentations, as appropriate. While not required, the ability to deliver and present findings and recommendations is highly desirable.

Project Management: Manage client projects to their successful completion, on time and on budget. Develop realistic project roadmaps with milestones and the ability to manage project deliverables with multiple elements over time, in a dynamic environment. Typical duties include setting up projects; tracking time and expenses; managing the production of client deliverables with brandadvisors’ team members; coordinating and documenting meetings; coordination, and documentation of client requests; coordination, transmission, management and documentation of creative reviews and approvals; and coordination, management and documentation of production estimates and approvals.

Client Relationship Management: Manage overall client relationships to exceed expectations. Become a valued client resource that provides impactful strategic counsel that is clear, concise, thoughtful, insightful, compelling, and actionable. Gain a thorough and advanced understanding of client’s business, industry, organization, people, customers, and competitors. Assist in strategic planning for clients, with assistance from the President.

New Business Development Support: Develop materials and assist in activities to market the company and develop new business, as appropriate, both with existing clients as well as new clients. Prepare proposals / statements of work, with assistance from the President.

Technical Skills

This position requires a person who is both comfortable with, and experienced in, a range of computer and technical tools. The primary use of technology is in the preparation and creation of presentations, reports, analyses, and client correspondence; management and documentation of client meetings, interactions, and work product; documentation of client projects through preparation of case histories; and integration of client work into the company’s portfolio / image database. While technical resources are available, the ability to troubleshoot in-house is a plus.

Experience and proficiency with M.S. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and/or Apple Keynote, Pages, and Numbers is required. Experience with Adobe CS products, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, is an advantage, but not required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required. The ideal candidate may hold a degree in marketing, communications, business, English, humanities, sociology, art, or journalism.

Agency, consulting firm, creative and / or in-house marketing department experience is preferred.

Experience managing meaningful brands across a broad range of platforms is an advantage.

Compensation

A competitive compensation package will be offered including base salary, incentive-based bonus, and a defined pension and 401K plans.
