    Our Work

A little over 50 years ago, on land once lush with apricot orchards, a new partnership between Stanford and the pioneering companies of the Silicon Valley was cultivated. The fruits of that partnership shaped the future of technology, altering the course of the world as we know it.

Half a century later, history repeated itself. Built in the Eisenhower Era, Stanford Hospital was not designed to keep pace with the unbelievable advances in medicine and technology. Faced with this challenge, Stanford Hospital saw an opportunity.

Building on the pioneering spirit demonstrated 50 years ago, the Stanford Hospital Corporate Partners Program was established to create a long-term partnership between Stanford Hospital and leading Silicon Valley companies, to inspire transformational solutions to advance medical science, improve patient care, and support the development of the new Stanford Hospital.

brandadvisors was commissioned by Stanford Hospital to first capture the vision of the program, develop the program’s identity and tagline theme, and then develop a hand-produced invitation to introduce the idea of the partnership to a select group of Silicon Valley CEO’s and senior leaders. brandadvisors then worked in tandem with Stanford to define and communicate the program and outline the initial two year program roadmap.

As a result, Apple, eBay, HP, Intel, Intuit, and Oracle signed on as charter Partners, committing $150 million over a 10 year period.

brandadvisors was charged with concepting and implementing the Program launch even—-a curated exhibition of the Corporate Partners Program story—held at Stanford’s Cantor Museum. Ron Johnson, Hospital Board Member, Apple’s SVP of retail, and Program visionary joined University President John Hennessy, Medical School Dean Pizzo, and numerous Valley luminaries to lead the evening program and celebrate the milestone accomplishment.
